Nicolas Ghesquière debuted his latest offering for the Louis Vuitton Fall 2018 collection during Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday (March 6), with a number of the designer devotees in attendance.
Sienna Miller: After attending the this past Sunday, Sienna was back on the fashion front row here. Her casual look was full of ’70s, boho charm with the ruffled top and high-waist, cropped denim—topped off with a ladylike finish in her stacked pumps and black-and-white handbag—although I can see some questioning the stark contrast of hues against her outfit.
Jennifer Connelly: I know there was an intentional long and languid aesthetic to these separates, but between the sleeves and the hem, both seemed just a bit too droopy.
Emma Stone: As the latest brand ambassador—also fresh from the —Emma represented the LV label more successfully here in this paisley frock. I like the unexpected twist to the girlish offering with the peplum jacket, and the additional edginess delivered via the over-the-knee boots.
Chloe Grace Moretz: I appreciate Chloe’s mix-and-matching of style genres here, but it still seemed as if the pieces—jacket, striped sweater, clutch, and boots—belonged to four different outfits.
Fan Bingbing: From the neck down, I would have never guessed this monochromatic ensemble belonged to Fan, as the mannish, urban edge was so far away from her go-to femininity.
Léa Seydoux: The main takeaway from this coat dress was its thrilling, magenta-purple hue.
Laura Harrier: I’m glad Laura let this frock speak for itself, styling it only with the pointy heels and not a lot of other competing pieces.
Michelle Williams: I think I would have been more charmed by Michelle’s retro-inspired look without the coat on top.
Sophie Turner: This was one of the sleekest, strongest looks of the bunch, and I loved it for that reason. Each element made perfect sense—from the patent, studded coatdress to the complementary handbag and booties.
Isabelle Huppert: In my book, Isabelle generally commands her looks with a no-nonsense aura of Parisian-chic sensibility, as was the case with this leather blazer-and-trouser combo.
Adèle Exarchopoulos: Preppy, menswear tailoring took a different turn with this plaid and striped blazer and shirtdress combo that almost worked minus the round handbag.
Ruth Negga: I love the nonchalant, stylistic attitude of Ruth’s look, with the plush jacket falling off her shoulders and the burgundy, power-hour jeans and patent booties. The satiny nightshirt I could have done without.
