1 tbsp. capers
2 tbsp. seasoned dry bread crumbs
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
93% lean ground beef
2% cheddar cheese slices
- Coat a grill rack with cooking spray. Preheat the grill to medium-hot.
- In a food processor, finely chop the mushrooms and onion. Heat the oil in a large skillet over mediumhigh heat. Cook the mushrooms and onion, stirring frequently, for 4 to 5 minutes, or until tender. Transfer to a large bowl.
- In a food processor, finely chop the tomato, parsley, and capers. Transfer to the bowl. Add the bread crumbs, pepper, and beef. Mix thoroughly and shape into 4 patties.
- Grill for 5 minutes, then flip and top with the cheese. Cook for about 5 minutes more, or until a thermometer inserted in the center registers 160F and the meat is no longer pink.
