The Best Street Style Looks From London Fashion Week Spring 2019
The Best Of London Fashion Week Spring 2015 Street Style
During thefashion weeks, even the sidewalks on the streets turn into catwalks: models, bloggers, journalists and celebrities all hurry to get a front row view of the display of next season’sfashion trends. These are people immensely interested in what today’s fashion world has to offer and naturally, their sense of fashion and fashion taste could not be plain, boring or ordinary.London Fashion Week spring 2015proved that the British capital is one of the most eccentric and stylish cities in the world, and thestreet stylenoted during different fashion shows was no less exciting than the fashion shows themselves. Colorful and not so, extravagant and simple, bold and not so much! There were some things we did not understand, at times we felt some outfits looked rather out of place, but that is the thing about fashion: everyone creates his own – based on how he sees the world around himself. Fashion is seen as a way to express oneself and London is a place where you will not be judged for your fashion choices, of that we can be sure. Below, we have rounded up the best ofLondon Fashion Week spring 2015 street style looksthat can serve as a fountain of fashion inspiration for you!
As expected, in London the weather turned out to be not as warm as it was in New York, and therefore the guests to the shows had to choose warmer looks, cladding themselves in coats, leather jackets, sweaters, ponchos and warm vests.
As in many of the creations of the designers during London Fashion Week, in the outfits seen on sidewalks before the shows the most popular color remained black (we even saw several all-black looks). Unlike the crisp and rather smart looks seen on New York sidewalks beforeNew York Fashion Weekshows, street style during the fashion week in London was more extravagant and eccentric with lots of colors (some had even decided to match their hair color with their outfits) and patterns and fringes and so on. Leather biker jackets along with colorful bomber jackets turned out to be the thing, while denim pieces and sometimes even all denim looks appeared to be quite casual and comfy (will this material ever go out of fashion? We think not). Faux furs were also seen quite often: on skirts, jackets and even handbags.
Because most of the looks we saw were not only rather original and unique, but also pretty omnifarious, it is ineffably difficult for us (in fact, for anyone!) to choose an absolute favorite. However, there were several sidewalk looks that really got to us. We have already established for ourselves that combination of dark blue and maroonish purple has a killing effect (in the good sense of the word, of course) on anyone. Pairing high waisted tapered dark blue pants with prints, with a vertically striped green and light orange shirt and topping that with a dark blue, again striped (this pattern too turned out to be popular not only on the catwalk, but also on the sidewalk), raincoat might feel overwhelming, but not in our case. The combination looked so natural, so easy and so effortless! Add to that a purple fedora had matching with the patches inside the coat and your modern day free-spirited and confident woman is standing in front of you. Of more elegant and somewhat girly pieces, we would like to mention a collared light pink accordion dress with long sleeves that was paired with black sneakers and accessorized with a small clutch sending a unique message that said “Luxury is a discipline”. The outfit looked natural, to the point and not try-too-hard.
With London Fashion Week drawing to an end, we close one more chapter of spring/summer 2015 collection book. Next chapter: Milan Fashion Week. Oh man, September IS our favorite month of the year!
